The mission of the Hudson Valley Brassroots Festival is to celebrate brass music in a rural, accessible and family-friendly environment. Founded in 2018 by Hudson Valley based musician and organizer Francesca Hoffman, Brassroots aims to amplify the spontaneous, celebratory nature of brass music in an environment where people can enjoy this joyful noise in a beautiful location outside of the big city.

The Brassroots Festival typically includes music from 8-12 bands whose influences range from the Balkans, Latin America and New Orleans second line to brasspunk and activist athems.
