Hosted by Stefia Madelyne Kascher, Ali Roland, and Christina Di Marco.
Open to all ages and requiring no prior experience.
This workshop at the beautiful Seed Song Farm invites participants to explore natural and traditional techniques for creating and experimenting with art materials. Through foraging seasonal plants, wood, and earth, you’ll explore natural inks and create dyes, pigments, and simple tools. Students will experiment in journals and on natural surfaces with drawings, rubbings, collages, and pigment studies, connecting creativity with the land. Together, you’ll investigate and play with homemade inks and dyes, applying them to natural and repurposed surfaces, while also using journals for drawing, texture studies, stamping, rubbings, collage, plant pressing, and pigment spreads.
