Since 2017, the African Roots Community Center has been a beacon of cultural learning and civic engagement. With a library rooted in the legacy of Dr. A.J. Williams-Myers, their work uplifts the history, experience, and culture of Black Peoples, Indigenous Peoples, and Peoples of Color. Through collaborative programming for all ages, we strive to advance historical knowledge, celebrate diverse expressions of culture, and advocate for justice.
The Joyful Vibes Community Festival is an extension of this mission — a living testament to the power of community, storytelling, music, art, and shared joy.
