Sojourner Truth (1797 – 1883) was an abolitionist, women’s rights advocate, and speaker who fought for the rights of all people. She is best known for her speech “Ain’t I a Woman?”, which she gave at the 1851 Women’s Rights Convention in Akron, Ohio.
