C Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor), the boy who loved to embark on adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with his gang of vivacious and adorable stuffed animals, has grown and lost his way.
Marc Foster, the German director of Quantum of Solace, The Kite Runner, Stranger than Fiction and World War Z makes a different bet with a familiar and emotional film in Christopher Robin, the story of a reunion between two characters created by the author A.A. Milne.
It is a moving adventure of Live-Action. The boy Christopher Robin, who loved to venture with a group of adorable and lively stuffed animals in the Forest of the Hundred Acres, has grown and lost his way. Now, your childhood friends must enter the world of Christopher Robin and help him remember the affectionate and cheerful child he still has inside.
Now, Christopher, the son of the creator of the famous children's character Winnie The Pooh (Jim Cummings), has become a family man and a businessman with great responsibilities. But one day he receives the unexpected visit of Pooh, the bear with whom he shared games in his childhood. In this way, his life will recover the lost happiness when he remembers that he was once a happy and affectionate child and that that child still exists inside him.
Far away have been his idyllic childhood days with his teddy bear lover of honey and his friends. But when he reunites with Winnie the Pooh, now a little worn and discolored by the passage of time, after years of hugs and games, their friendship rekindles, reminding Christopher of the endless days of shared childhood fantasy and wonder, when "not doing Nothing, was considered the best of everything. "
After an unfortunate mishap with Christopher Robin's briefcase, Pooh and the rest of the gang - including Piglet (Nick Mohamed), Eeyore (Brad Garrett) and Tigger (Jim Cummings) -, they leave the forest and go into London to help Christopher to recover his valuable belongings. This film will remind children who have ever seen the character of Winnie The Pooh, and possibly cause the same nostalgic feeling with their childhood, which caused Toy Story 4 at the time.
Similar to the style in Paddington's tone, this new Disney family story is specially designed to connect the adult audience with nostalgia not only towards characters with whom they had fun but with the dilemmas that come with adult life. In fact, the film accentuates that melancholy with a palette of cool colors that is maintained throughout the film.
Christopher Robin without being the highlight of his catalog works quite well, the script is well written, the messages are clear and effective, it is funny moments, very adorable and funny. McGregor makes a convincing character and really work to bring back Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore and Rabbit is fantastic.
