The Kingston Halloween Fest on October 28th was a success! Organized by My Kingston Kids and Seed Song Farms, in association with Rupco, Texas Roadhouse and Chronogram, the Kingston NY based Fall festival was the event of the year. Over 1000 Halloween lovers of all ages attended this awesome kids’ event at Seed Song Farm. With all of the attractions it offered, that is not surprising at all!
The day time events were incredibly exciting: the Seed Song Halloween Hayride was completely packed throughout the entire day, and for good reasons! Every guest was greeted with a delicious hot apple cider provided by Kingston Midtown Rising, and by a spooky Halloween story by Captain Kidd (played by the lovely Autumn Pond) and other beloved storytellers. Of course, there was great entertainment for kids, too: gallons and gallons of slime were made by children of all ages.
That’s not all, though: over 250 free pumpkins were given away for free to lots of lucky participants, kids got to pet the friendly sheep at the petting zoo area and the whole crowd was entertained by the awesome band Digital Vibrations. Plus, the organization Parrots for Peace brought some fantastic entertainment too, bringing some lovely parrots to the Halloween Fest and taking pictures of our guests holding them!amazing Seed Song showed them how to make pizza on the outdoor brick oven, and everyone was spooked by the Halloween House horror-themed displays!
The night time events were just as exciting!
The dance performance of Michael Jackson’s Thriller by the CCE was brilliant, too! The night ended in the most marvellous way, with the pumpkin head sculpture burnt to a crisp in a fire that entranced the crowd.ashion Show and the gorgeous backdrop made for it by Cheryl Crispell and all of the other performances that charmed the guests.
The success of the event was also given thanks to the tasty food provided by Texas Roadhouse, Rudy Mae’s, Kettle Korn and many others, as well as service vendors such as YMCA, that provided bike helmets to the children, Esopus Police department, that provided children’s IDs. Of course, the Halloween Fest wouldn’t have been so lovely without the volunteers from the Kingston Boys and Girls Club as well as Kiwanis and Seed Song Farm’s community. Thank you for the amazing times, see you next year!
