Get yourself in gear for a fascinating day that will set the tone for a legendary to month to come. Performances, art exhibits, music & more. You will have an opportunity to witness some of the Hudson Valley's finest African-American artists and others who are paying tribute the African diaspora.

A few event highlights

  • Bluu Motion Exhibit by Frank Waters: An interactive exhibit showcasing a variety of animated movies, series, music videos and stills using a machinima concept that has received numerous awards and recent attention from the media.
  • The Poetry Corner: Youth are reciting a variety of poems from black poets from the 1800's - 1900's.
  • Special Performance by African Dance:
  • CCE's Energy Dance Company
  • Singers

Time: 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Age Range: Great for all ages

Food: Light refreshments will be served

Registration: This is a free event, however we ask that you RSVP so we may have a estimation of how many people are coming.
